The process of yoga isn’t magic, it’s a science of working with awareness, presence, movement and energy. It’s a daily act of surrender to the larger currents of life, creating less friction and more delight ~ Shiva Rea

Practice at home: Free 12 Week Yoga Program

During COVID I created a 12-week course (8 months pregnant, with the help of some beautiful friends), as an offering of support and connection during a time of isolation for many of us. Here it remains, free and open to anyone who would like to be guided through a home practice. There is also a pre-natal class, along with some gentle pranayama practices and a guided yoga nidra <3

A Little Long Letter

IMG_9789.jpg

Dear friends, I initially started writing this just for me, but in the writing of it I realised it might be beneficial for my own healing and maybe even for someone else… so I decided to share. I have been feeling deeply and quietly over the past few months - all the highs, lows, challenges, blessings, dark caves with sticky sharp edges and all the rest that has come across my path. For almost two decades, a deep curiosity about the human experience has guided my study of therapeutic yoga, meditation, pranayama and somatic practices. Together, these paths continue to deepen my understanding of our capacity to awaken in this lifetime, and to live with greater presence, openness and connection. Keep Reading

Mystic India Retreat September 2026, supporting Edo

My first journey to Sri Narayani Peedam, in Southern India was in 2015, on retreat with Edo & Jo. It remains one of those experiences that still feels difficult to put into words. The rhythm of life at Peedam, so rich in mantra, prayer, ritual, service and the presence of Sri Sakthi Amma, opened something in my heart that has continued to quietly shape my practice ever since. Having returned a number of times since that first retreat, this September I feel deeply honoured to return again, this time to support Edo on his retreat, sharing yoga throughout our time together.

Across the eight days on retreat, we will enter the living rhythm of the Peedam and ashram life through yoga, mantra, meditation, kirtan, puja, seva and Ayurveda. At its heart is the rare blessing of time in the presence of Sri Sakthi Amma, attending Amma’s daily puja, receiving darshan, teachings and blessings, and experiencing a place where devotion is woven into every part of the day. The retreat also includes visits to the temples of Sripuram, ancient Vedic rituals and a Full Moon Fire Puja, alongside personalised Ayurvedic care and opportunities to take part in Amma’s community and humanitarian work. It is an intimate pilgrimage into the living traditions of Bhakti, held within a place devoted to spiritual practice, healing and service.

When we are in the if only mind – we are leaning forward.  And when we are leaning forward we are unable to be in the one place where we can find true happiness and presence. For as long as we are thinking that happiness is going to be somewhere else, it will never be where we are. Keep Reading
