Retreats are a beautiful and empowering way to immerse yourself, reconnect and develop your own personal practice. Designed to take you away from your normal routine, your daily responsibilities and away from the general business and ‘doing’ of the outside world - time spent together on retreat, enables you to connect with your inner landscape and deeply nourish your whole self.

More being and less doing.

The retreats I run normally range between 10-25 people, depending on the retreat and are accessible for all practitioner levels. On retreat there is generally 6+ hours of practice per day (including meditation & Yin practice), allowing us to deeply explore and enjoy the traditional and joyful practices of yoga asana, meditation, pranayama and self-enquiry.

Staying in luxury accommodation either by the ocean or in the hinterland, you’ll be well-nourished with beautiful organic vegetarian meals lovingly prepared by our retreat chef and with plenty of time for ocean swims, bush-walks, massages, rest and deep relaxation.

All retreats incorporate elements of silent days which I strongly believe is some of the best medicine for us all.

All retreats provide tuition, guidance and mentoring for each student.

“I have now attended two retreats conducted by Sophie. No matter what you’re looking for; to go deeper in your yoga, meditation or pranayama practice, a weekend to rejuvenate or just some R&R, Sophie’s retreats bring it all, and create a perfect balance. After each weekend I have felt refreshed, re-energised, relaxed and present. Sophie has a special gift and a peaceful energy that she shares with all her students.”

— Eva Jarolim

“Sophie is a shining light and born teacher. The Kangaroo Valley retreat exceeded all expectations. Sophie provided the ultimate environment to deepen my yoga practice.”

— Naomi Lees

“ Sophies teaching is grounded in a deep personal and spiritual practice that shines softly through in the way she shows up to each session with her students. Her commitment to service, her thoughtfulness, her playfulness, her sense of humour, lightness and her compassion - all of this she brings to her retreats and it infuses her teaching with a generosity and authenticity that I value deeply.  If you have the opportunity to attend one of her retreats or workshops - take it!!”

— Ella Millard

“Last weekend was simply the best. Five days later and I am still walking on clouds.”

— Sofie Desmond
